These terms explain how our services work, what is included in every order, and what we each agree to, so there are no surprises along the way.
Welcome to Book Cover Hub, and thank you for trusting us with your book. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Book Cover Hub LLC (“Book Cover Hub,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). They explain how bookcoverhub.com and our services, including book cover design, illustration, book interior formatting, writing, and related services (the “Services”), work, so we both know what to expect.
By using the Services or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If anything here is unclear, just ask us before you order. We are happy to help. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Services.
You are welcome to create an account to place and manage your orders. Please keep your password private, since you are responsible for activity under your account. If you ever suspect someone else has accessed it, let us know right away and we will help.
If things do not work out, our Refund Policy explains your options. It forms part of these Terms.
What you own. Your work is yours. Once your order is paid in full and we deliver your final files, you own the final work we created for you, whether that is a cover design, illustration, book interior, or written content. Use it for your book in any format, and for marketing and merchandise, anywhere in the world, with nothing further owed to us. Source files are included with every package.
Custom illustrated covers. Illustrated artwork is created from scratch, just for your project. On delivery, you receive full rights to that artwork.
Stock images and fonts. Standard packages may include licensed third-party elements such as stock images and fonts. You own the finished design, but those individual elements remain the property of their licensors and are subject to their license terms, for example Shutterstock’s. The standard license covers up to 500,000 total copies or prints. Beyond that, or for merchandise use, an extended license may be required.
Your materials. Your manuscript, text, photos, logos, and anything else you send us always remain yours. We use them only to complete your project. In return, we ask you to confirm that you own these materials or have permission to use them, and that our using them as you direct will not infringe anyone’s rights.
Drafts and unused concepts. Concepts, drafts, and preliminary work that do not become part of your final delivered design remain with us.
Our portfolio. We love showing off the covers we create. You allow us to display your final cover in our portfolio, on our website, and in our marketing as an example of our work. If you would prefer we did not, just email us and we will gladly respect that.
Our website content. The text, graphics, logos, design samples, and tools on bookcoverhub.com belong to Book Cover Hub or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Please do not copy, reproduce, or use them commercially without our written permission. Covers shown in our portfolio belong to their respective authors and publishers.
Copyright complaints. We respect creators’ rights. If you believe anything on our site infringes your copyright, please email support@bookcoverhub.com with a description of the work, where it appears on our site, your contact details, and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them. We will review it and promptly remove any infringing material.
This section covers content you post publicly on our site, such as blog comments, guest posts, contest entries, survey responses, and testimonials (“User Content”). It does not apply to manuscripts, briefs, or files you send us for a design project. Those are covered by Copyright and Ownership above.
Our site may link to third-party websites and services. We share them because they may be useful to you, but we do not control them and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.
We put real care into every project and stand behind our work through our revision process and Refund Policy. Beyond what these Terms and that policy promise, the Services and our site are provided “as is” and “as available,” and to the extent the law allows, we do not make any other warranties, express or implied.
A great cover helps a book, but we cannot promise specific sales, rankings, or reviews, or that our site will always be available and error free.
If something goes wrong with your order, our first step is always to fix it. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for that order, and we are not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost sales, or lost data.
This also applies to printing costs or other losses from errors in files you approved, so please check your final files carefully before you publish or print.
If someone brings a claim against Book Cover Hub because of materials you supplied to us, your User Content, or your breach of these Terms, you agree to cover the resulting losses and reasonable legal costs.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If we ever disagree, please contact us first. Most issues can be sorted out with a friendly conversation. If a dispute does go further, it will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Arizona.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. The Terms in effect when you place your order are the ones that apply to it.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These Terms, together with our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services.
