Getting started

What to prepare and how to place your first order.

Pick the eBook or Print Ready package and place your order, or book a free consultation first if you want to talk it through. After ordering, you fill in a short design brief and we begin.

Your title, subtitle, author name, genre, and a short book description. It also helps to share a few covers you like in your genre. For print covers we need your trim size, page count, and paper type.

No. An eBook cover only needs your title, genre, and a description. For print, the spine width depends on your final page count, so we finalize the full wrap once that number is locked.

We discuss your book, your readers, and cover design ideas for your story, then recommend the right package. There is no obligation to order.

Yes. Most authors come to us without a clear vision. We study your genre, your story, and current bestsellers, then propose a direction for you.

Process and timeline

How a project runs from brief to final files, and how long it takes.

How does the process work from order to delivery?

You submit your brief, we research your genre and design the cover, you review it and request changes, and we refine until you approve. Then we send your final files.

Every package has a 14-day delivery window, and your first draft arrives within 2 days of your brief. Fast feedback from you keeps things on schedule.

Yes. Rush delivery brings your cover down to 7 days for a $50 fee. Custom illustrated covers are drawn from scratch, so they cannot be delivered in less than 10 days.

One. We put our full research and effort into a single strong concept instead of splitting it across several weaker options, then refine it with unlimited revisions.

By email. You get updates at each stage and can send feedback any time.

If something specific is off, we revise it. If the design misses the mark completely, we create a new concept based on your original brief. Revisions are unlimited throughout the active design process. The one thing that cannot change midway is the original requirements you gave us at the start of the project.

Design and genre

Genres, styles, series work and redesigns.

All major fiction and nonfiction genres, including romance, fantasy, thriller, sci-fi, mystery, horror, children’s books, memoir, self-help, and business.

We review the current top sellers in your category before designing. Your cover follows the visual cues readers expect while still standing out in a thumbnail.

Yes. Our Custom Illustrated package covers artwork drawn from scratch for your book. Pricing is listed on our homepage.

Yes, as long as you hold the rights to use it commercially and it is high resolution. For print, that means 300 dpi at the final cover size. Send it with your brief and we will tell you if it will work.

Yes. Send us the earlier covers and we will match the typography, layout, and tone so the series looks consistent.

Yes. Many authors come to us for a refresh when sales slow down. You simply replace the old files on your publishing platform.

Print and publishing

Platforms, spines, barcodes and upgrades.

Print covers are built to Amazon KDP specifications by default, and KDP covers are accepted by most other platforms. If you need files prepared to another platform’s exact specs, each additional platform is $30.

Yes. You just pay the difference between the two packages and we extend your design to a full wrap with spine and back cover.

Yes, free of charge. Spine size changes cost nothing, even after delivery.

Yes. Send us your ISBN and we generate the barcode and place it on your back cover. It is included in your package at no extra cost.

No. We deliver files that are ready to upload, and you publish them from your own account.

Yes. A 3D mockup is included with every package, ready to use on your website, social media, and ads.

Rights and files

What you own, what you receive and how we store it.

You get full rights to your cover design with every package. How the artwork itself is covered depends on the package:

Custom Illustrated: the artwork is created from scratch for your book, and you receive full rights to it.

Regular packages: you own the design, but the images in it are licensed from stock sites such as Shutterstock. That license is perpetual and royalty-free, so there are no ongoing fees. It is also non-exclusive, meaning the same image can be licensed by others, and the standard license covers up to 500,000 copies.

Every package includes your source files. Packages also include 300 dpi print-ready PDF, PNG and JPEG files, depending on the package. Each package lists its exact files before you order.

We design in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, the same tools used by publishers and printers.

We keep a copy of your source files, so just contact us and we will send them again.

Orders and policies

Payments, refunds and working with us from anywhere.

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Alipay. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

If the final design still does not meet your expectations after using our unlimited revisions, you can request a full refund. Refunds are not available once you have approved the design and received your final files. Custom illustrations qualify for a partial refund only after sketch approval, and none once completed. Approved refunds are processed within 3 to 7 business days, and the design can no longer be used after a refund.

Yes. We work with authors worldwide. Everything is handled online, and payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Interior formatting

Layout for your eBook and print interior.

We lay out your manuscript for reading: chapter headings, fonts, margins, page numbers, headers, front matter and back matter. You review a proof and request changes before we send final files.

Yes. Print interiors are delivered as a print-ready PDF at your trim size. eBook interiors are delivered as an EPUB file for Kindle and other stores.

No. Formatting can run alongside your cover. Your final page count from the interior is what we use to set the spine width on a print cover.

Ghostwriting

Writing your book with you, in your voice.

We start with a call to understand your idea, audience and voice, then agree an outline with you before writing begins.

You do. Full rights to the finished manuscript transfer to you on final payment.

Book trailers

Short videos to promote your book.

A short promotional video for your book, built from your cover, key lines from the book, imagery and music.

Yes. We use your cover artwork, fonts and colors so the trailer and the book look like one campaign.
